Marvin Sterling Slavens

Marvin Sterling Slavens passed away at his home on April 9th. No Service is planned.

Marvin was born September 15, 1930 in Moberly, Mo. In 1950, he married Gwen DeWeese, who survives.

Marvin joined and served the US Navy for — years and served in the Korean War. After the Navy, Marvin worked for what is now known as Sprint, retiring in 1991.

Marvin enjoyed golf, electronics, spending time with friends and family and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. His absence will leave a hole in the hearts of those that loved him.

In addition to his wife, Marvin is survived by his son, Michael Slavens of Germany; his daughter, Marva Lougee (Chris) of Seattle, Wa.; his grandson, Aaron Rayburn of Medford; and his cat, Jasper.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to C.A.T.S. of Medford.
