Federico "Fred" Maish
Fred Maish, 85, of Gold Hill died April 20, 2006 at his home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 26 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eagle Point National Cemetery with Father Mike Walker of the Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 25 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Conger-Morris Central Point Chapel.
Fred was born November 9, 1920 in Tucson, Ariz. to Charles and Rosario (Valenzuela) Maish. On November 15, 1941 in Nogales, Ariz. he married Emilia (Delaossa) Maish who survives.
Fred was a farmer. He belonged to the American Legion. He served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his sons, Fred Jr., Charles, and Gilbert Maish all of Lancaster, Calif., and Bob Maish of Gold Hill; daughters, Ella Jordahl of Central Point and Stella Cruz of Reno, Nev.; brothers, Frank and Jim Maish both of Tucson; and 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
