Eva Ruch

Eva was born in Talent, Ore. on March 2, 1928 and passed away on May 9, 2006. Her parents were Gustav and Bessie Beck. She is survived her husband, Fred; four daughters, Nancy Ruch, Susan Palanuk, Jennie Dixon and Andi Ruch; a son, Dale Ruch; three grandchildren, Derek, Michele, and Brett; a brother, Freeman; and a sister, Eisal. Eva was preceded in death by two sisters, Laverne Morgan and Joan Zemke; and one brother, Andy Beck.

She graduated from Phoenix High School in 1946. Eva married Hiram Fredland (Fred) Ruch on May 19, 1947 in Medford, Ore. then moved to Eugene where she lived her whole married life.

Eva was a member of the First Baptist Church for 50 years and attended Berean Baptist for the past four years. She was involved in the Eteri Circle, volunteered in the Sunday School department, and helped with the Awana program.

After raising her family, she went to work at Agripac Cannery where she worked for 15 years. She led a very active lifestyle participating in league volleyball for 50 years, could be seen riding her bike all over town, was involved in a bowling league for 25 years, and joined a senior tennis league which she played in for the last 15 years.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15th at West Lawn Cemetery Chapel.
