Berkley August Pinkham

Berkley August Pinkham of Central Point died May 27, 2006 at home. He was born to Nathan and Alice Pinkham on September 17, 1925, being one of eight children. He spent his early years in Declo, Idaho and later moved with family to Oregon. They settled in the Rogue Valley in 1934.

Berkley served in the Navy during WWII, and upon returning home he completed his high school education, graduating in the class of 1947. In August, 1948, Berkley married Ruth Eileen Rikard. They lived the majority of their years in Central Point, having raised six children.

Berk worked 18 years for the 1st National Bank, and then over 20 yars for the Steve Wilson Co. of White City.

He was preceded in death by his wife in January of 2005. Survivors include his sons, Joe and Darleen Pinkham of Metaline, Wash., Jeff and Terri Pinkham of Odessa, Fla., and Tony and Kathy Pinkham of Kettle Falls, Wash.; daughters, Elizabeth and Charles Gotcher of Central Point, Lori Davis of Medford, and Lana Bilyeu of Medford; brother, John Pinkham of Central Point; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 1st, at — p.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Arrangements by Conger Morris Central Point Chapel.
