Joan Louise Marvin

Joan Louise Marvin, 64, of Central Point, died Friday, June 30, 2006 at her home. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the Conger-Morris Central Point Chapel. Dee Marlow will be officiating.

Joan was born August 10, 1941 in Ainsworth, Nebr. to Max and Sarah Dutton. On July 11, 1959 in Valentine, Nebr. she married Kenneth Marvin. They later divorced.

Joan was a long-time employee of Harry & David as an Inventory Record Accuracy Specialist. Her hobbies were playing bingo, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She had belonged to the pinochle card club since 1966.

She is survived by her son, Donald L. and wife, Danelle Marvin; daughter, Karin and husband, Kenny Wicks; sister, Mary Johnson; brothers, Lawrence and Jim Dutton, Mark, Charlie and Ralphy Simons; and five grandchildren, Kevin Wicks, Jessica, Jennifer, Darcy and Dondi Marvin. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald L. Marvin; and her parents.
