Frances Adams, 105, of Eagle Point, died June 30, 2006 surrounded by loved ones at her home.
Frances was born in Omaha, Nebr., to Frederich and Elizabeth Dohse, both of whom were born in Germany. She married Carl Adams in 1922. They had two children, a daughter, Frances Joan Jensen, and a son, Mark T. Adams. The family moved to southern California in 1933. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973.
She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1982 and lived with her daughter on Star Ranch near Eagle Point for the last 24 years of her life. Her son, Mark, managed the ranch until his death in December 2003.
She had the unusual experience of being with her two adult children from the age of 82 to 103. She was able to spend a lot of time with her five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Frances had nine siblings and she survived them all. She was very healthy, took no medications and was independently mobile until her death.
Frances' life long focus was on home and family. She worked briefly prior to her marriage. She played the piano when she was younger and enjoyed music throughout her life. She started painting with oils when she was 68 and she became exceedingly skillful with her art.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private memorial service for Frances will be held at her home.
