Gilbert "Gib" Wall
Gilbert "Gib" Wall passed away July 13, 2006 at Providence Medford Medical Center.
A viewing will be held at Perl Funeral Home on Siskiyou Blvd., July 19, 2006 from 6-7 p.m. His funeral service will be held at Valley Bible Fellowship on July 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Fred Devos officiating. His interment will take place at the Eagle Point Veteran's National Cemetery July 20, 2006 at 3:00 p.m.
Gilbert was born December 26, 1924 in Blythe, Calif., to Jesse Carl and Lula Belle Wall.
Gilbert married Mary Wall on September 7, 1946 in Battle Ground, Wash. He served in the US Navy during WWII from 1943-1946. He was the Owner/Operator of Wall Trucking for 34 years.
Gilbert was a member of the Elks Club for 52 years, and was a charter member of So. Ore. Race Club as an Owner/Driver beginning in 1952. He retired in 1989.
His hobbies included Nascar racing, traveling, gardening, and loving his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his son; Dale and Ruth Wall of Central Point, daughter; Marlene and Tommy Ricks of Georgia, five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also one sister Carlene Severson from N. Carolina and a brother Russell Wall of Central Point, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 2003 and his brother Clinton Wall.
