Eupha Margie Henderson

Eupha Margie Henderson

And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:32

This was the life verse for Eupha Margie Henderson, 84, who went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2006 at the home she shared with her husband, Homer, who survives. Eupha lived these words by loving and honoring her husband in marriage and cherishing her two daughters, Shirley (Glen) Gellatly of Laguna Beach, Calif. and Barbara (Jim) Oakes of Jacksonville, Ore.

For over 50 years she shared her love of Jesus Christ by teaching Sunday School, Junior Church, women's bible studies, in fact every age from the cradle to seniors. She taught by the example of her life. She served, along with her husband, on several mission fields including Africa, Italy and home missions and treasured these adventures because they were doing the Lord's work.

Eupha was born in Jefferson City, Mo. on September 27, 1921 and settled with her family in Santa Ana, Calif. She and Homer celebrated their 65th year of marriage last November 8th. They traveled extensively and visited every state and Canadian province.

Her sister, Nancy Briner of Bellevue, Wash.; two grandchildren, Jill Blankenship and Amy Ryan; and five great-grandchildren Loralee, Jeffrey, Christopher, McKenna and Jacob also survive Eupha.

Eupha has fought long and hard for her Lord and through it all she has kept true to him. And now the time has come for her to stop fighting and rest. In heaven a crown is waiting for her, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give her on that great day of his return. And not only to her but to all those who whose lives show that they are eagerly looking forward to his coming back again. II Timothy 4: 6-8

A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, July 20th at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 649 Crater Lake Ave, Medford, Ore. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your own church in her memory.
