The funeral service for Vivian G. Newosme will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2006, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Central Point. Graveside services will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.

Mrs. Newsome, 82, of Central Point, died Thursday, July 20, 2006. She was born March 19, 1924, in Park City, Utah. She had lived in the Rogue Valley since 1988, when she moved here from California, where she was an inspector-packer for Latchford Glass Co., until her retirement in 1987.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gold Hill Ward and volunteered in the church warehouse and the Gleaners Network.

Survivors include her two sons; Leonard Egbert, Central Point, Ore., and Larry Dean Egbert, Elizabeth, Colo.; a daughter, Linda Joyce Whichard; two brothers; James Gamble, Farmington, Utah, and Donald Gamble, Italy; two sisters, Janet Price, Granger, Utah, and Donna Lance, Magna, Utah; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 24, 2006, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Bellinger and Arnold Lane, and one hour pryer to service at the church.
