Barbara Ann Snyder

Barbara Ann Snyder

She was born on June 6, 1932 in Siloam Springs, Ark. and went to heaven on August 5, 2006. Barbara and Will Snyder were high school sweethearts and were married for 57 years. They moved to Medford in 1989. Barbara lived her life as a loving dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her life. She lived to make others happy and feel positive about life. All her children say that she was the best mother in the world. "Our mom will be missed, but we know that she is now our Guardian Angel. She will be in our hearts forever."

Rotary was one of the main focal points in her life. She attended all the Rotary Club and District meetings possible. She was honored to be a member of the Medford Rogue Rotary Club and was a benefactor and Paul Harris Fellow.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Will Snyder; children, Will (Helena) Snyder, Jr. of Bonita, Calif., Cindy (Jim) Fuson of Jacksonville, Ore., Skip (Jeanette) Snyder of Central Point, Ore.; sister, Dottie (Ken) Hawk of Payson, Ariz.; three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her father and mother (Louie and Nell Woolbright) and sister (Pat Olson) preceded her in death.

A private family burial ceremony will be held. A joyful "celebration" of life ceremony will take place at the Medford First Presbyterian Church (Holly and 8th) on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Medford Rogue Rotary Foundation or Dogs for the Deaf.
