Eleanor (Nell) Ramsay
Eleanor Ramsay died in Portland, Ore., on August 14, 2006 after 95 years of life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Ramsay with whom she co-founded Ransay Realty in the 1970's.
Edmund and Nell came to the Applegate Valley in the 1940's and started a dairy farm. Nell was a nurse in California and then in Medford until she joined Ed in real estate. After retirement from real estate she pursued her passion for study/reading, gardening, cooking, remodeling, painting and birding.
Nell's family recognized her strong faith, strength of character, steadfast mind and love of life as gifts from God which shown forth in all her relationships and activities.
She is survived by her daughter, Marybeth Longbine; her son, Charles Ramsay; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchilren. Her son, John Ramsay preceded her in death.

Her memorial service will be held October 7, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Log Town Cemetery on October 9, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in Jacksonville, Ore.
