Frances Alberta Jolly

Frances Alberta Jolly, 66, of Selma, died Saturday, September 30, 2006 at her home.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Fountain of Life Assembly of God Church, 451 S. Junction Ave. in Cave Junction. Grants Pass Funeral Alternatives is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Illinois Valley Open Door or The Pregnancy Center of the Illinois Valley in care of Grants Pass Funeral Alternatives, 106 N.W. Evelyn Ave., Grants Pass, OR 97526.

She was born December 25, 1939 in San Francisco, Calif. She married John Mark Jolly on June 13, 1957 in Redwood City, Calif. He preceded her in death in 2002. She moved to Oregon in 1975 and lived in Eagle Point, Salem and Selma. She was a master craftsman in leathersmithing and she enjoyed fishing, camping and helping the needy.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John Mark Jolly Jr. and Susan Jolly, of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Jolly) Lefner, of Selma; son-in-law, Michael Lefner, of Bethel, Alaska; son, Paul Matthew Jolly, of Wylie, Texas; a sister, Peggy Jean Schoppe, of Los Gatos, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Kathryn and John Holecek and a sister, Jane Morgan.
