Jerry W. Adams

Jerry Adams, 53, of Medford, died on Thursday, September 28, 2006. He was born on October 10, 1952, in Gilroy, California to Richard A. Adams and Alrene I. Adams. He graduated from San Lorenzo Valley High School in Felton, California, in 1971.

A classic love story, in 1973 Jerry married Chris Trigeiro, his high school sweetheart, who was the love of his life. They have two children, Jennifer A. Adams, and Jeff A. Adams, both of Medford. Jerry and Chris also consider Branden Battles as their other son.

Jerry and Chris moved to Oregon in 1978 and Jerry began working as an independent residential homebuilder. Jerry was a visionary about his homes and his creativity was unique and these homes reflect his style. Adams Homes, Inc. was the result of Jerry and Chris working side by side in the design, construction and completion of quality homes, along with the endless years of work and devotion of Will McCabe.

Jerry was a very passionate man about all of his activities, including his work, his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing and loved the Oregon Coast and the Rogue River where he caught loads of fish. Jerry also became a coach for young men in both baseball and football. Many of the friends he made in these activities became extended family to Jerry.

Jerry was a generous man and was delighted to share his catch with his friends. He loved Oregon and soon surrounded himself with his buddies in his fishing and hunting trips, including his sons!! Jerry lived life on his own terms. He loved to travel and spent many wonderful weeks with his family on cruises, vacations and sharing his generous spirit.

It has been said of Jerry that he was "Bigger than life" and also that his chest was so big because of his big heart!! He was a strong man with a soft center. He absolutely loved his family and friends above all else. When you became Jerry's friend, you were his friend for life. All those who walked through the door of his home or into his life were welcomed with open arms.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Chris, their children, Jeff, Jennifer and Branden, his mother, Alrene Adams of Medford, his sister, Pam Powell of Madera, California and his brothers, Ron Adams of Powell, Wyoming and Terry Adams of Santa Cruz, California.
