Nancy M. Lewis

Nancy M. Lewis, 89, passed away on October 3, 2006 in Roseburg, Ore. She was born on August 29, 1917 in Dennison, Ohio.

She was a graduate of Immaculate Conception School in Dennison, Ohio. She married John Lewis in 1938. They moved to Medford in 1946, where they ran the Lewis Cafe for a short time. She worked as a bookkepper at Rogue River Valley Creamery for 30 years until her retirement in 1988.

Nany was an active member of St. Annes Alter Society and The Medford Senior Center.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and was known for her kindness in helping others, her great sense of humor and her wonderful Italian cooking.

Survivors include her son, John of Eugene, Ore., Larry and Janet of Myrtle Creek, Ore.; grandchildren, Kathy Shipman, Kelly McMahan, Beth Kittleman, Daniel Lewis and Tony Clement; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1990 and daughter, Lillian Clement in 2003, and six of her seven sisters.

She enriched the lives of all who knew and loved her and will leave countless memories that we can enjoy forever.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford, Ore. 541-772-5488
