Lynn A. Stanger

Lynn A. Stanger died October 7, 2006 at his home in Shady Cove. A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens on Saturday, October 14th at 11:00 a.m. Davis and James Stanger will be officiating.

Lynn was born December 21, 1937 in Butte, Mont. to Davis B. and Viola Stanger. He married Betty L. Stanger on August 2, 1969 in Reno, Nev.

He worked at Western Beverage as a distributor/sales. He was commended for being the longest working distribution driver in the valley. Lynn retired in 2000 and went on to work part-time as a courier for Secured Courier.

Lynn enjoyed fishing, wild mushroom and asparagus hunting in the Rogue Valley, crabbing on the Oregon Coast, camping and enjoying time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Stanger; daughters, RaLinda R. Haugen, of Eagle Point, Pam L. Northrop, of Medford, Lori L. Stanger-Tennant, of Hermiston; six grandchildren, Peter Evans, Barkley Haugen, Corey Northrop, Nicole Northrop, Kylee Rothermund and Tony Tennant; brothers, Davis, Howard, George and Phillip Stanger; and sister, Norma Shipp. He was preceded in death by his parents, Davis and Viola Stanger; sister, Anona Jensen; and brother, Ronald Stanger.

Memorial contributions may be made in Lynn's name to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements handled by Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives and Memory Gardens.
