On Friday, September 29, 2006, Samuel Edwin King went home to join his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He also joined his wife, Dorothy King.

Ed was born in Ada, Arkansas on April 14, 1908 and spent his childhood in Morrilton, Arkansas. In 1941 he moved with his family to southern California and worked as an auto mechanic. Ed always loved automobiles. He slept, ate and lived automobiles. During this time he purchased a 1919 Dodge — door Sedan which he kept for the rest of his life.

In 1950 he moved to Jacksonville, Ore., where he was involved in several occupations, but automobiles and his wife were the loves of his life. He lived in Jacksonville until he was taken home. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Rogue Valley Old Timers Car Club.
