Robert D. Johnson

A service is scheduled to celebrate the life and service of Robert D. Johnson on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Salem, Oregon at 2 p.m.

Robert was born in Stanton Iowa December 23, 1926 to Einar and Karin Johnson. He married his beloved bride, Beverly Johnson in 1951, who survives him along with four children, Barbara Brockert, Kris Wall, Sandra Koubele, and Rev. Richard Johnson; brothers, Lambert, Jack and Fred Johnson; and sister, Mary Halvin. Robert also has ten grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

Robert served his country in the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific and was awarded medals of honor. He worked in sales. He was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Salem and St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Medford, Ore. He also enjoyed volunteering for the Red Cross. He was active all his life with family and friends. He died Dec. 2, 2006 of age related illness. He was dearly loved by all of us. We thank the Lord Jesus for blessing us with a wonderful father.
