Brian Mostue, 61, of Medford, died November 29, 2006. He was born September 24, 1945, in Thief River Falls, Minnesota to George and Inez Mostue.
For college he left rural Minnesota for Boston and later graduate school at the University of Oregon, receiving degrees in landscape architecture and civil engineering. His love of the outdoors led to summers as a raft guide and introduced him to his future wife, Emily Carpenter. They were married in 1975 and moved to Medford in 1981. He worked over 30 years with the design firm IDC/CH2M Hill in Portland, on domestic and international projects. He was an active member of the Medford community including serving as trustee and treasurer of the Carpenter Foundation. He devoted time to the family farm, nurturing grapes and hay, and fixing tractors.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Mostue; two children, Alison and David Mostue; mother, Inez Mostue of Minnesota and brother, Brooks Mostue, Boston.
