Robert Ward DeVoe

1954 ~ 2006

Rob DeVoe died in Portland, Ore. December 1, 2006 of colon cancer. Born March 11, 1954 in Medford, Ore., Rob graduated from Ashland High School in 1972, studied computer engineering at Southern Oregon College and Portland State University. Rob worked in the technology and computer engineering field and was a founding partner of Triplepoint Inc.

Rob was an excellent craftsman. He built several boats, participated in the annual Wooden Boat Show, was a board member of Rivers West as well as the boat shop manager. Rob was a vintage motorcycle enthusiast. He rebuilt his Norton Commando motorcycle from crated parts and became a member, and later treasurer for, the Northwest Norton Owners club.

Rob is survived by his wife, Ann Lakin; son, Gabe DeVoe; step-daughters, Kim Murphy and Thea Keith; his father, Robert DeVoe; brothers, John and Mark DeVoe; and sister, Laura Boone.

Rob was much loved and will be greatly missed.

No public services will be held. Remembrances can be made to the American Cancer Society.
