Bobbi was born in Los Angeles February 2, 1943, to Walter and Mabel Branscum. Surrounded by family and friends, she succumbed to her battle with cancer on Saturday, December 23, 2006. She was 63 years old.
In 1968, she followed her parents and siblings to Medford. In 1979, Bobbi, along with her two precious daughters, Tamara and Cynthia, married Peter Naumes. The family was soon blessed with the addition of 2 sons, John Peter (J.P.) and Matt.
Always wanting to help others and lighten life with laughter, she was eager to share a recipe and good joke. She loved to cook. She opened her home to Oakland A's farm team baseball players during summers.
Her mother taught her the motto: Do a good deed everyday...and she did.
Bobbi was active in the community by being a member of civic organizations as well as being a supporter of groups that give to those in need. She presided over the Junior Auxiliary as a Pink Lady at RVMC. She was a member of Bear Creek Rotary when she represented Southern Oregon for a company called Civic Outreach, a welcoming wagon for newly opened businesses and owners. She was a Past President of the Medford Soroptimist club and started the Rogue Rivieras, a local chapter of Red Hat Society. She was honored by the local Soroptimists as a "Woman Helping Women" when she opened "My Sister's Closet," a clothing bank for women in need, who were entering the work force.
In recent years, she and husband, Pete, traveled extensively. She loved to travel and she loved to shop. So, while on her travels, she would search shops in many locales to find unique and personal gifts for family, friends and donations to non-profit auctions.
She was preceded in death by her son Matt, age 22, in 2003. She is survived by her husband, Peter, daughters, Tamara Crewe (and her husband, Tony) and Cynthia Naumes, son, J.P., sisters, Janene Loran and Clover Leonard, brother, Wade Branscum, grandson, A.J. Zahnow and her mother, Mabel
Reynolds and spouse, Harold Reynolds.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 29, at 4:00 p.m. at Perl Funeral Home at Siskiyou Memorial. Family and Friends are invited to The Rogue Valley Country Club for a Celebration of Life at 5:30 following the service.
