Michael John Stinger

Michael John Stinger, 55, of Medford, Oregon passed away on March 7, 2007 in Medford. He as born on July 29, 1951 in Whitefish, Montana to Norman and Mary Stinger. The family moved to Oregon in March of 1956, settling in Eagle Point. Mike spent his school years at Eagle Point, graduating from Eagle Point High in 1969. He married his high school sweetheart, Ginger in December of 1969 in San Jose, California. They were married for 25 years and had three children, Michael, Jason, and Nikki. In 2003, he was married to Cissy. He was well known for being the owner and operator of Fat Boy Burgers in Eagle Point for about four years, and more recently owned and operated the Road Runner for about two years. Mike's most outstanding feature was his sense of humor. To know Mike was to love Mike, and he made many friends through the years. Mike loved the outdoors; fishing and hunting were two of his passions. He wrote poetry, always hoping to have some of it put to music. He enjoyed singing, frequenting karaoke stages for the last 9 years or so.

He is survived by his children, Michael Stinger of Medford, Jason Stinger of Gold Hill and Nikki Siemon of Medford; grandchildren including Tre', Taylor, and Ryleigh Buchanan, KaLee Stinger, Emily and Alexandra Stinger; his sisters, June Fisher of Missoula, MT, Ruby Palin of Kalispell, MT, Essi Bazzani of Roswell, NM, Linda Stinger of Canon City, CO, Norma Stinger of Ferndale, CA, and Mary Lynn (Terry) Keaton of Eagle Point; step-father, Jack Perry of Pocatello, Idaho; many nieces and nephews, as well as dear friends Ray and Jeannie Simmons of Eagle Point. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and older brother, Vern.

To celebrate Mike's life a memorial gathering will be held on March 18, 2007 from 1-4 at the Ashpole Community Center in Eagle Point. He was much loved and will be greatly missed. Leave a light on for us uncle Mikie!
