Edward George Glover

Edward George Glover, 89, lifelong resident of Medford, passed away March 18, 2007.

He was born October 28, 1917, in Lambert, Mont., to Edward and Mabel Glover, who preceded him in death.

He graduated from Phoenix High School in 1935, and married Gayle Glover on April 23, 1939, in Yreka, Calif.

Edward worked for Double D Lumber as a supervisor, retiring in 1981.

Edward enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time at their cabin in Rocky Point, Klamath Falls. He also enjoyed bowling and playing golf. He played his last golf tournament at Manzanita Golf Course at age 88.

He was a life member of the Medford Elks BPOE 1168.

Survivors include his wife, Gayle; sons, Robert Glover and wife Judy, of Central Point; sisters, Frances L. Semple, Dorothy J. Wolfe and husband, Donovan, and Barbara J. Hall and husband Richard, of Medford; brothers, John W. Glover and companion, Emogene, of Ashland; grandchildren, Edward R. Glover, of Hillsboro, Penny J. Logan of Oregon City, and Robert J. Glover and wife, Danielle, of Roseburg; and six great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 23, 2007 from 2-4 p.m. at Bob & Judy's home.
