Gail Muriel Adams

On March 26th, 2007, Gail M. Adams passed away after battling cancer for many years. She was with loved ones in her final minutes.

She was born Gail Muriel Henderson on November 11th, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois. She spent her childhood "on the move," and lived in London and Russia. In 1941, she settled in Los Angeles, and lived there for most of the next 30 years. She taught dance for Arthur Murray, and worked as a bookkeeper/accountant. In the 1950's, she spent a few years living in Hawaii and Guam. She taught Sunday school while in Guam. In 1970, she moved to The Dalles, Oregon for a few years, and then to Medford, Oregon in 1973. She met Joe W. Adams soon after arriving in Medford, and in 1980 they were married. They spent the 1980's running several businesses, including The Spot and Valley Music. Gail & Joe loved to fish, and especially liked to go to Diamond Lake. Joe passed away in January of 1991. She spent the last 16 years working at Bear Creek, volunteering for the Medford Jazz Jubilee, and supporting breast cancer awareness.

Survivors include a daughter, Gail Jr.; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe W, her son, Bobby, her step-daughter, Joyce, and her grandson, Joey.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30th at Community Bible Church in Central Point, Ore.
