The memorial service for Robert Earl Knight will be on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Gardens Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Irvin Bostwick officiating.

Mr. Knight, 74, of Medford, died Thursday, April 12, 2007. He was born in Auburn Heights, Mich. On February 6, 1953 in Greensburg, Ind., he married Marlene Frazee, who survives. He served in the Korean Conflict while in the U.S. Army.

He had lived in the Rogue Valley for the past 39 years, moving here from Simi Valley, Calif. He was a painting contractor and also a real estate agent and was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Medford. He loved fishing, hunting and riding four-wheelers at the coast. Most of all, he loved his wife and family.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Marlene, include his children, James W. Knight III of Portland, Robert D. Knight of Medford, Tammy Knight of Medford. Robert and Marlene raised a grandson, Robert J. Knight from the age of eighteen months. He had eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. He was survived by one sister, Barbara Peterson.
