The funeral for Marjorie C. Morrison will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, April 22, 2007 at the Litwiller - Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland. Interment will follow on Monday at Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland.

Mrs. Morrison, 88, of Ashland, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Linda Vista Care Center in Ashland. She was born November 6, 1918 in Oregon City, the daughter of Mamie and Luther Miller. She was raised by her mother and step-father, Kenneth Bayless in Klamath Falls. As family, they often traveled and lived in logging camps where her father worked.

On October 7, 1939 in Vancouver, Wash. she married John W. Morrison, who preceded her in death in 1984. They farmed in the Tillamook, area for several years. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1950 from Portland.

Mrs. Morrison worked over 25 years in the offices of several logging companies including KOGAP Lumber, Timber Products, and the Idaho Forest Industries near Tolo. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed reading and gardening.

Surviving are: three sons, John William Morrison, of Ashland, Thomas Edward Morrison, near London, England, and Donald Scott Morrison, of Renton, Wash; two daughters, Jill Ann Bang-Knudsen, of Bainbridge Island, Wash. and May Lynn Wallis, of Milwaukee; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Bayless.
