Richard Jay Stickney

Richard Jay Stickney

Richard Jay Stickney born on August 21, 1954 to Dick and June Stickney in Riverton, Wyo. passed on Sunday, April 22, 2007.

Richard moved to Medford around 1982 where he lived out his remaining life.

Better known as Rich, he was a kind-hearted, loving man who gave all he could even when he didn't have it to give. Rich had a love and passion for his family and most of all, his grandchildren. Rich's world changed the day he was gifted with grand kids. Any chance he could get he would play, laugh, love and most of all give his grand kids candy, especially when he wasn't supposed to.

Rich also had a love for the game of baseball. He played throughout his adolescence and into his prime. He was always out there teaching the young ones the way of the game. He had a way and knowledge of teaching all who wanted to know and learn the game.

Rich is survived by his partner of 24 years, Pam Marchbanks of Medford, Ore.; parents, Dick and June Stickney of Cottonwood, Calif.; daughter, Kari Stickney of Indio, Calif.; son, Jason Stickney of Annaheim, Calif.; step-son, Chris Smith of Salem, Ore.; step-daughter, Kristina Smalley of Medford, Ore.; sisters, Trina and Ron Greenfield of Turlock, Calif., Wyvone and Robert Martinez of Fresno, Calif.; brother, Allen and Patty Stickney of Cottonwood, Calif.; and those grandchildren that made his heart smile, Beau, Jason, Taylor, Edith and Brittney.

Rich has always been loved and moved by many. This is why this big-hearted man will be missed and loved by all who had the honor of knowing this free spirited man.

A memorial service will be held on April 27, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Table Rock Fellowship, 3610 N. Pacific Hwy., Medford, OR 97501. A reception will follow the service.
