Vivian G. Pierce

Vivian G. Pierce, 89, passed away February 26, 2008 at her home in Central Point.

Vivian was born in Central Point on August 21, 1918 to Howard and Grace Mable Dunlap. She married Edward F. Pierce on June 9, 1938. She enjoyed being a homemaker, and later worked for Montgomery Wards for many years in downtown Medford. She also enjoyed her work at Reter Fruit Company during pear season as a packer.

Vivian and Ed moved to Brookings in 1980. Ed joined the Elks and Vivian was very active in the Emblem Club #265, keeping up her membership for 24 years. She enjoyed many walks to the beach and so enjoyed taking her grandchildren on these walks when they would visit. She was preceded in death by Ed and her sister, Edna Neathamer Knight.

Surviving are her children, Barbara Larson of Central Point, Bert Pierce (Sharon) of Central Point, John Pierce (Janet) of Medford, and Steve Pierce (Nancy) of Payson, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Following her wishes no service is planned.
