Gertrude was born June 11, 1910, to John H. and Julia Ellen Noble in Lakeview, Ore. She passed away Oct 26, 2009 at the Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford OR. Her husband, John W Richardson passed away on Sept. 27, 1986.

As a young girl she went to school at The Little White School House in Lorella, Ore. and she also attended school in Ashland, Ore. She married John Richardson and had two sons, Johnnie and Edward. The Richardson's were residence and ranchers in Lake Co. for 70 years. They lived on West Side when their children were in grade school.

Gertrude is survived by her son, Johnnie, his wife, Norma Richardson; son, Edward Richardson; grandchildren, Nancy and Dave Hall, John Chester and Bonnie Richardson and Julie and Chuck Sutherland; great-grandchildren, Linda and Kevin Brown, Jody and Cory Koterba, Jessie and Travis Lingschest , Cassey and Jasper Richardson, Nicole and Tim Walker, Weston and Krista Sutherland; great-great-grandchildren, Amber, Cody, Vicki, and Mary Brown, Katie Koterba and Ethan Walker; sisters, Edna Viola Hartwell and Julia Ann Byrd, of Medford; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Richardson; father, John H Noble and mother, Julia Ellen Morris Noble; brothers, Claude, James, Elgian and George Noble; sisters, Grace Ellen Noble and Sarah Alice Fowler.

Gertrude will long be remembered by her family and friends as a lady who worked hard at the ranch, a member of the New Pine Creek Grange and Sylvia Rebekah Lodge #43. She also volunteered at the Opportunity Store. Gertrude's family is eternally grateful for the support they received from Arbor Place in Medford, Ore. Arrangements are being handled by Owsley Osterman Huffstupter Funeral Chapel of Lakeview OR, (541)947-32674. Funeral will be Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. The Graveside service is at West Side Cemetery, followed by a dinner provided by West Side Grange members.
