Norma Ella Dickerson

Norma Ella Dickerson passed away on Friday, August 20, 2010, with her family at her side in her home in Rogue River, Ore. She was born on June 27, 1922, to Joseph Roy and Ella Pinkerton, in Granite City, Ill.

Norma attended school through grade 12 in Granite City. On February 15, 1941, she married Carl M. Dickerson. In 1945, they moved to Merced, Calif., before moving to San Diego, Calif., in 1960.

Norma was employed by Montgomery Ward for about 20 years, before retiring in 1982. She and Carl moved to White City, Ore., in 1991 and they then moved to Rogue River, Ore., in October 2009.

Norma enjoyed running her household, gardening, sewing for the grandchildren, making quilts, and most of all, traveling. She and her husband, Carl, had four children, Carl Jr., Norma Sue, Thomas Roy, and David Allen. There are ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Norma has been a member of the Butte Creek Baptist Church the past 20 years in Eagle Point, Ore. She leaves behind many friends and loved ones, as she leaves to enter her heavenly home with the Lord.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 3, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Butte Creek Baptist Church in Eagle Point, OR.
