Esther Mack, 92, died peacefully at her daughter's home in Ruch, Ore., August 23, 2010. The funeral service will be held on Friday September 3, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Peters Lutheran Church, in Medford, Ore.
Esther was born May 26, 1918, in Manson, Iowa, to John and Augusta Lenz. On January 28, 1942, she married Herman Mack, in Seward, Neb.
In her early years, Esther was involved in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, youth group and Sunday school at St. Peters Lutheran Church. Esther was also a homemaker and cleaned for the Girls Community Club.
Esther was a quiet soul who had a smile for anyone she met. She loved her family and we were all blessed to have her as part of our lives.
Survivors include son, Henry (Janice) Mack; daughters, Jeanne (Bob) Hammer, and Marlene Mack; grandchildren, Allen (Michelle) Mack, Lori (Chad) McClure, Karen (Rob) McGrath, Karale (Jeff) Farschon, Kelsey and Cameron
Stinemack; great-grandchildren, Shay Steele, Cody Mack,
August and Zavior Mack, Jacob McClure, and Katelyn McMurtrey; extended family, Patty Curry and Trisha Volosin; and three sisters-in-law, Genevieve Lenz, Ruby Mack and Leona Mack. Esther was preceded in death by husband, Herman Mack; five brothers; and one sister.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to Asante Hospice, especially Tom and Sue, who made her last days more comfortable.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at Conger Morris, Medford, between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
