Howard Kelly Sinks
Howard Kelly Sinks, age 70, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011. Howard was born on November 19, 1940, in Merced, Calif. He worked for over 16 years in the lumber industry at Medco, in Medford, Ore. In 1994, he began his own business, HK Transporting, hauling vehicle freight all across the country.
During his lifetime, he enjoyed rafting on the Rogue River, fishing trips with his friends, playing cards, and dancing. He was an active member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Medford, Ore.
He is survived by his lovely wife, Carla; his sons, Michael (Rachel). of Alexandria, Va., David and William, both of Grants Pass, Ore.; stepsons, Troy (Dana) Ketelsen, of Grants Pass, Ore., Thomas Ketelsen, of Tualatin, Ore.; his daughter-in-law,Teresa, of Gresham, Ore.; and 12 grandchildren,
Jessica Flatter, Alan Sinks, Dakota Sinks, Corey Sinks,
Andrew Sinks, Cassandra Sinks, Zachery Ketelsen, Jordin
Ketelsen, Cody Ketelsen, Cade Ketelsen, Hailey Ketelsen, and Ty Ketelsen. Other survivors are his brother, Karl Sinks, of Okla.; and sister, Maxine Pepperdine, of Calif.
Howard was preceeded in death by sisters, Margaret Stemp, Elsie Verschoor and Eula Lowry; and brothers, Eugene (Bo) and Mitchell Sinks.
A memorial service will be held at The Meadows Club House, 555 Freeman Road, Central Point, on Saturday, March 5, 2011, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the
