Randy L. Hodges

Randy Lee Hodges, 59, a resident of Shady Cove, Ore., died Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at the Gales Creek Trail in Gales Creek, Oregon. He was born on October 10, 1951, in

Newman Grove, Neb. Randy was the son of the late Oliver Hodges, and Beulah (Fowlkes) Hodges, a current Medford resident. He was raised throughout Southern Oregon and graduated from Medford High School, in 1969. Upon his high school graduation Randy traveled the country and other

destinations worldwide. In his late 30s, Randy attended Souther Oregon State College, which is now Southern

Oregon University. He received a bachelors of science

degree in business administration in 1992.

Randy was united in marriage to Randi Lynn Hodges in July, 1989, in Shady Cove, Ore. She moved into Randy's former bachelor pad in Shady Cove, raising their only daughter there, Nicole Lee Anne Hodges. Shortly after a housing

remodel in 2004, they unfortunately filed for divorce.

Randy worked in recreational trail construction, and owned and operated his own business, Randy L. Hodges

Construction. He started his business shortly after receiving his degree in 1992, and it has successfully continued throughout the years.

Randy enjoyed the outdoors, loved his job, and enjoyed creating trails that enhanced the beauty of the Northwest. He had a passion for outdoor activities, travel, intellectual

stimulation, and most importantly, being a father.

Randy was a wonderful, passionate, colorful man, a walking rainbow. He was a delight to be around and you couldn't help but catch his infectious laugh. He was a spirit of

wisdom, great stories, and inspiration. His impact on the planet created a ripple affect. For everyone he touched and every step he walked, he created light and laughter.

Randy is survived by his daughter, Nicole Hodges, 20;

mother, Beulah Hodges, 89; and his ex-wife, Randi Hodges.
