David Lee Bernard
David Lee Bernard, 56, of Manito, Ill., died Monday, March 7, 2011, at his son's home in Pleasant View, Tenn. He was born on January 16, 1955, in Kewanee, Ill., to Alice King Lasley and the late Marshall Dale Bernard. He was a plumber by trade; a U.S. Army Veteran; and a member of the American Legion Post 561 in Manito, Ill. He also lived many years in Central Point, Ore.
Survivors include David's son, Marshall (Mindy) Bernard, of Ashland City, Tenn.; mother of his son, Cynthia Williams, of Peoria, Ill.; mother, Alice King Lasley, of Pekin, Ill.; sisters, Bonnie Simpson, of Toulon, Ill., Joan Bernard-Forrey, of Colorado, and Debbie Bernard, of Ligonier, Ind.; four grandchildren, Andy, Cody, and Kali Bernard, of Ashland City, Tenn., and Stephen Brewster, of Creve Coeur, Ill.; and 13 nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 p.m., on Friday, March 18, 2011, at the American Legion Post 561, in Manito, Ill.
