Wanda 'Juell' McGahuey
Wanda Juell McGahuey passed away on September 29, 2011, at Rogue Valley Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was born March 17, 1934, in Rogers, Ark., to Al and Maude Robertson.
Juell married Calvin L. McGahuey on March 27, 1954, in Eureka, Calif. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1965.
Juell was a telephone operator and homemaker. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, knitting, reading, and spending time with her family.
She was a very loving person and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by six children, Wanda, of Phoenix, Ariz.; Cindy, of Brookings, Ore.; Calvin Ray (Doris), of Winston, Ore.; Cheryl (Lloyd) Putnam, of Portland, Ore.; Melanie (Bob) Townsend, of Medford, Ore.; and Michael, of Medford, Ore.; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Reba Golden, and Lorraine Peterson; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Charlotte.
Juell was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Calvin L.; brother, LeRoy Robertson; sister, Norma; and grandchild, Brandon McGahuey.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2011, 10:00 a.m., at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 489 Cheney Loop, Central Point, Ore. Ed Ruddick will officiate.
