Annie Larrine Note

Annie Larrine Note passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011. She was born June 26, 1922, in Obion, Tenn., to James Rhoadess and Sara Gwaltney.

In 1945, Larrine married Eldon Avey. Together they raised two children, Cheryl and Don Jr., in Southern California. For many years, she was active in a women's cub, the Lutheran Church and other service organizations. She was an avid bridge player, gourmet cook, skillful gardener, and was very involved with her family.

Larrine loved to entertain and was proficient at making it look effortless. Her homes and yards were always known for their beauty and comfort. Later in life, she worked for IT&T Continental. During that time, she met and married James Harris and together they moved to Medford, Ore., in 1985, where they lived until his passing.

After Jim's passing, Larrine filled her time with volunteering at Rogue Valley Hospital, the Symphony Guild, playing bridge, taking golf lessons and, as usual, being involved with her family. In 1996, she married Bud Note and they lived together in Medford, Ore., until last summer, when they moved to Klamath Falls, Ore., to be closer to some of her family.

Larrine is survived by husband, Harry "Bud" Note; son, Don Avey, of Calif.; daughter, Cheryl (Lee) Matchett, of Klamath Falls, Ore.; grandchildren, Farrah Campbell, Stina Turner; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Louise McDonald, of Nephi, Utah.

A memorial service was held Monday, January 2, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
