Juanita Marie Barnes
Juanita M. Barnes, 85, of Gold Hill, Ore., passed away Friday, February 3, 2012, at her home. She was born September 17, 1926, to Madge Lavera Williams and James Robert Wilson, in their home near Jetburg, Mo., in St. Louis County. Her mother was from Alabama and her father was from Oklahoma.
On December 14, 1963, she married George Lewis Barnes, in Reno, Nev. He died on November 13, 1978.
Juanita was a retired home caregiver. She loved reading, jazz music, and going to the coast.
Survivors include her son, Richard Anthony Altieri, of Rogue River, Ore.; daughter, Judith Ann (Ronald E.) Oachs, of Gold Hill, Ore.; sister, Joann (Mike) Thompson, of Gold Hill, Ore.; brother, John Wilson, of Pittsburg, Calif.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Mark Baker; daughter, Carol Marie Lavoie; and brothers, James and Robert Wilson.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012, 10:00 a.m., at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Conger-Morris Central Point Chapel, 800 S. Front St., Central Point, Ore.
