Pamela Jean Fry Hansen

It is with great sadness that the family announces that Pamela Jean Fry Hansen passed away unexpectedly from a brief illness and joined her mother on Mother's Day, May 13, 2012. Pam was born May 15, 1953, in Lewiston, Idaho, to Reba Kinard and William Fry.

Pam moved to the Rogue Valley in 1955 but moved around to Southern California, Northern California, and Phoenix, Arizona before coming back to the valley in 2001. She was crowned Miss Clementine in 1971 in Siskiyou County as their beauty queen. She had many interests, but her favorite activity was feeling the wind on her face while riding with her husband on his Harley. She loved her dogs Shasta and Cookie. One of her many joys was working in dialysis as a Patient Care Technician for 10 years.

Those who knew her enjoyed her larger than life personality and infectious smile, she was so full of emotion she lit up any room the moment she walked into it, her booming laughter, her fierce loyalty to family and friends, her insurmountable love for her grandchildren, and her dedication to God. She will be remembered for her passionate, loving nature, wonderfully witty sense of humor, and her adventurous and theatrical spirit.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Carl Hansen; sons, Jason (Erinn) Fisher, Gary Hansen, Charlie (Tracie) Hansen and Frank (Anna) Hansen; five grandchildren, Trevor, Elsie Jeanne, Joshua, Jacob, and Luke; siblings, Marjorie Delzell, Debra Bishop, Michelle Hewitt, Billy Fry, Allen Fry, and Michael Gundlach; many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family who she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother; father; and brother, Rory Gundlach.

The family invites those who knew Pam to join them in celebrating her life on Friday, May 18, 2012, 12:00 p.m., at Harvest Time Fellowship, 345 2nd Ave., Gold Hill, Oregon. If you have any questions, please call the church at 541-855-1011.
