Glenda Lou (Boller) Boyd
Graveside services for Glenda L. (Boller) Boyd will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2012, 10:30 a.m., at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford, Ore.
Glenda was born on a farm in Madison County, Iowa, March 17, 1937, to Ralph E. and Ruth Pauline (Bailey) Boller. The family left Iowa and moved to Omaha, Neb., when she was six years old. She received her formal education in Omaha: Lothrop Grade School, North High School, Nebraska Methodist School of Nursing (1958), and a bachelor's degree in nursing from Omaha University (1961).
Glenda had a natural curiosity that led her to seek knowledge and mental challenges at every opportunity. This served her well during her nursing career in Nebraska, California, Arizona, and Oregon. Glenda was a long-term employee of Rogue Valley Medical Center. She retired to Omaha in 1992. She was a faithful and loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend. Above all, she loved her God and her family. That did not prevent her from expressing a wicked sense of humor!
She passed from this life April 4, 2012, at age 75. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Patrick Needler; brother, Larry Boller; and sister, Paula Fuerstenberg. Survivors include brother, Jon (Peggy) Boller; brother-in-law, Michael Fuerstenberg; sister-in-law, Judy Boller; many nieces; and dear friends from nursing school.
