Dorothy Hubler, 91, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, of cancer and age-related issues. She was born February 20, 1922, in Medford, Ore., to Charles and Mary Hofbeck. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Medford, Ore.
She married Lee Hubler November 2, 1941, and lived happily together until Lee's passing in 2009. Dorothy was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and the Medford Business College. She worked as a bookkeeper and later as an administrative aide at McLoughlin Junior High. Dorothy and Lee were active members of the Southern Oregon CB Club for 25 years. She took pleasure in traveling and sipping a cool drink at their condo in Baja, Mexico or at their cabin at Lake of the Woods. She was an avid gardener. She enjoyed big fires whenever she camped. In the early years, she played a mean rendition of Mack the Knife on her accordion. Her favorite song was Somewhere My Love. Pugsley, her pug, was a constant source of enjoyment.
She is survived by her three sons, Daryl Hubler (Darla), of Eugene, Ore., Gary Hubler, and Terry Hubler, both of Medford, Ore.; and three grandchildren, Tyler, Colton and Kyle. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lorraine Meyer. She will be deeply missed.
There will be no funeral service. A viewing for the public will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Conger-Morris, 767 S. Riverside Ave., Medford.
