Nicolaus Xavier Orozco
March 10, 1986 ~ February 7, 2014
Nicolaus Xavier "Bean" Orozco left us in this world sadder, yet richer for having known him, Friday, February 7, 2014. He was born to Javier and Carol Orozco, the youngest of five children. He grew up in Grants Pass, Ore. and graduated in 2004 from Hidden Valley High School. Nicolaus joined his father in the family business, J.O. International/Jots Tree Service, perfecting his skills on Wildland Fire Crews and became a Climber, Crew Boss, and Laborer. He was an invaluable addition full of drive, experience, and laughter.
On March 21, 2010, Nic married Alison Prive and they later welcomed a precious addition to their family, a son, Maxim.
Nic was loyal, funny, warm, kindhearted, witty, adventurous, and the perfect friend. He was a devoted husband and father, cherishing his wife and son. They were his greatest joys. He was a beloved and adored son and brother, completely irreplaceable. You couldn't ask for a truer friend, better fishing buddy, or work partner. In everything he did, he brought a spark of life and joy and leaves all who knew him changed for the better and full of countless memories that leave us broken-hearted, but smiling and full of love. He was a great man. There will never be another like him.
Nic is survived by his wife, Alison; son, Maxim; parents, Javier and Carol Orozco; sisters, Florinda, Marie, and Jennifer; brother, Joel; niece, Aliyah; nephews, Sean, Rafe, and Atlas; his in-laws, the Prive family; cousins, friends, and co-workers who respected, loved, and will forever remember him.
A celebration of Nic's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at New Beginnings Christian Center, 270 W. Evans Creek Road, Rogue River.
Donations in Nic's honor may be made to the Nicolaus Orozco Family Trust Fund at any Umpqua Bank branch. Please plant a tree in Nic's memory, playfully slug your friends, or throw a line in the water and catch one for Nic.
