Colleen Rochelle Hays

Colleen Rochelle Hays, 57, of Sandpoint, Idaho tragically passed away with her husband, George Simchuk, in a plane accident April 1, 2014.

Colleen was born at Larson Air Force Base in Moses Lake, Wash. May 4, 1956 to Retired Master Sargent Richard Sanger (preceding her death April 24, 2009) and wife of 54 years, Kathleen. Colleen was married to George Simchuck April 18, 2009 in Maui, Hawaii.

After 18 successful years as founder and CEO of HRG, Colleen was most recently the co-founder and CEO of Turning Point Revenue Cycle Solutions, based in Northern California. Her passion to help facilitate jobs for the unemployed, and her work with hospitals brought her the utmost joy and satisfaction.

Colleen worked tirelessly to support philanthropic causes around the world and was an advocate for several organizations, including CASA, Susan G. Komen, Doctors Without Borders, The Make a Wish Foundation, Salvation Army and many homeless organizations.

Colleen was predeceased by her son, David Hays (May 11, 1996) and is survived by two children, Jennifer Hays of San Diego, Calif. and Jonathan Hays of Napa, Calif.; four grandchildren, Alexandra, Angelina, Gabriella, and Christina; her mother, Kathleen Sanger of Central Point, Ore.; five siblings, David, Carolyn, Russell, Corinne and Dale; and numerous nieces and nephews.

As a devoted advocate for children's charities, breast cancer research, and simply doing her part to make the world a better place, Colleen created the Hays Family Foundation as a vehicle to give to multiple organizations. A graveside memorial service for family and friends will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford, Oregon. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following at The Meadows Clubhouse, 555 Freeman Road, Central Point, Oregon.
