Mary Louise (Hedrick) Johnson
Mary Louise (Hedrick) Johnson, 98, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014. She had Alzheimer's for the past seven years. Louise was born in Quincy, Wash. November 25, 1915 to Louis and Hazel Hedrick. She grew up in Watertown, S.D. Louise married her high school sweetheart, LaVern R. Johnson, in Watertown, S.D. November 10, 1933. They were married 80 years. In 1941 they moved to Medford, Ore. where they raised their family.
Louise worked many years in the packing houses packing pears. She also worked for J.C. Penny in downtown Medford in charge of the drapery dept. She is survived by her husband, LaVern and their four children, Shirley (Boyd) Josephson of Garland, Utah, Rosalie Carrol of Central Point, Ore., Donna (Frank) Scott of Medford, Ore., and John (Barbara) Johnson of Mindin, Nev. Louise and LaVern have 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Hughes; father, Louis Hedrick; two step-fathers; two siters; and two brothers.

A viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Perl Funeral Home, Siskiyou Blvd., Medford, Ore. with a service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Donations may be made to Alzheimer Assoc. 1311 NW 21st Street, Portland, OR 97209 in Mary Louise Johnson's name.
