(Georgia) Arlene Wilmot
(Georgia) Arlene Wilmot, 83, passed peacefully May 16, 2014 at her Medford, Ore. residence. She was born July 3, 1930 in Eagle Rock, Calif. to George T. Winkler and wife, Laura Georgia Koehler, of Evansville, Idaho. She was a faithful and loving wife to her lifelong love and companion, Ralph Wilmot, who passed away November 2, 2013. They were married in Burbank, Calif. June 24, 1954. The family lived in southern California and relocated to Oregon in 1978. During their almost 60 years of marriage they raised three children: Sherry Mae Buchanan of Gardnerville, Nev., Pamela Jo Eubank of Moorpark, Calif., and Paul Gordon Wilmot of Shady Cove, Ore.
Arlene's heart was full of love for the Lord, caring for her family, and service to others. She taught by example and had a gift for teaching. She was a member of Bethel Church in Medford, Ore. and also served as the church Secretary for many years until her retirement. She suffered a disabling stroke in 2009 but continued to find joy in life. She kept her strong faith and endured to the end.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 at Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Oregon.
