Tanya M. Smurzynski

Tanya M. Smurzynski, known to all as "Tami", 40, passed away unexpectedly May 20, 2014 with her family by her side. She was born February 13, 1974. Tami is survived by her husband, Richard; her two daughters, Simone and Lily; mother, Paula Chapman; father, Lance Chapman and his wife; sisters, Candy Earp and Stephanie Holzhauser and their families; birth parents, Kandi Staley and Kim Finnegan; along with several nieces and nephews.

Tami was a beautiful, kind, amazing young woman, wife, mother, and friend. She was a kindergarten aide at Sams Valley Elementary School and a Del Rio Vineyards team member. She loved life, hiking, camping, rafting, and rocking out to music. She was most passionate about how she loved her husband and partner in life, Ricky, and her two daughters, Simone and Lily. Never could a mother be more proud of her girls, a true best friend to them.

Tami has left this world too soon but she is leaving behind a legacy of joy. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a scholarship fund in her daughters' names at Chase Bank.

You are welcome to honor her memory and join us for a church service today at 6:30 p.m., Friday , May 23, 2014 at Valley View Adventist Church followed by a celebration of her life for friends and relatives at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Del Rio Vineyards, Gold Hill.
