Marylyn Sue Singleton
Marylyn Singleton passed away peacefully September 12, 2014 to be with our Lord.
Marylyn was born in Mishwaka, Ind. October 3, 1939 to Russell Moreland and Rosetta Moreland who preceded her in death. She moved to Livermore, Calif. after graduating from Lapaz, Ind. There she raised three daughters and one son. She worked at Denny's restaurant for many years. Then she met Major Singleton, they married and became foster parents. Many children came through their home. Marylyn loved kids. The foster children felt that love.
She is survived by Erica Huber (Darrell) of Ore., Carrie Ward (Dave) of Okla., Seletta Raven of Ore., Dorian Clemons of Ore.; her brothers, Denny Moreland of Calif. and Deloyce Moreland of Calif.; sister, Seletta Moreland of Ore.; four grandsons, Darrell R. Glimer of Calif., Christopher Anderson of Calif., Michael Cheney of Okla. and Wesley Ward of Okla; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major Singleton; daughter, Eugina Wasoski; son, Damien Reynolds; and brother, Maynard Moreland.
She loved her family very much. She moved to Oregon in 2009 to live. She loved it here. She loved to go play bingo and met many new friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Eagle Point Senior Center, 121 Loto St., Eagle Point, Ore.
