Lloyd Allan Governor
Lloyd Allan Governor, 67, would like to let you know that his work here is done. He received a call, a sort of an offer you can't refuse, for an appointment with God, from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110 percent. Music, laughter, and love are guaranteed. He will miss everyone terribly, however he knows we will all be reunited.
Lloyd left detailed instructions for his wife, Loni Ellis, whom he has been with since 1991 and married April 6, 1996, to tell his best friend Max (Lloyd's yellow lab); his sister, Lee Robertson; cousin-brother, Jim Governor; cousin-sister, Margaret Swinger; step-mother, Myrtle Governor; the entire Governor family; his three beloved step-sons, Tommy Ellis (Tonya), Trevor Ellis (Tricia), and Travis Ellis (Chloe); grandchildren, Taylor Ellis (Kylee), Tanner Ellis, Rilee Arnold (Dan), Alex Ellis (Anna), Nathan Ellis, Krystina Ellis, Jacob Ellis, and DJ Ellis (Janelle); great-grandchildren, Hunter Arnold, Ethan Ellis, Hallie Arnold, and Declan Hill, to celebrate his new mission with his God the Father.
Lloyd was a veteran of the Army and in Vietnam. He was a banker, branch manager/VP, commercial loan officer in various banks in the valley his entire life. He was born at Rogue Valley Memorial Hospital in 1947 and was raised in Gold Hill, Ore. by his Beloved Mother and Dad, Erma and Lloyd Governor who proceeded him on his new journey.
Lloyd was loved and looked up to by family and all who knew him, often called The Rock of the Ellis family." He was their mentor and most of all a man of God whose light always shined through him.
In his last prayer with Loni before he passed, he gave thanks to God for bringing her and most of all her children into his life. Saying they filled a hole that he never dreamed would be filled. Having children and a huge happy family running around his home laughing and loving each other unconditionally. This was his dream come true. The family motto, Sempre' Familigia (Italian for Forever Family) was so meaningful to him.
The family is fine because we all know that Lloyd is Most Fine with God. He wishes all, Beautiful days, a wonderful life and to reflect on the Bibles' words, Think of your life as an adventure with Me (God) as your Guide and Companion. Live in the now, concentrating on staying in step with Me. Psalm. 27; 13-14; Exodus 15:13
So. Oregon Funeral Alternatives is handling the details. Half of Lloyd's ashes will be sprinkled on the family Evans Creek Ranch and the other half will be interned at the Jacksonville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hope Equestrian or to Hearts with a Mission. A service will be held at the Jacksonville Cemetery sometime during the Spring.
