Ron Bombick, oldest son of William and Jean Bombick of Castle Shannon, Pa., passed away on the afternoon of December 5, 2014. After graduating from Catholic University, he spent more than 30 years as a high school teacher and coach. He was a nationally recognized, award-winning teacher of Biology and Chemistry who helped shape the lives and futures of thousands of students in Montgomery County, Md.
He and his wife relocated to Ashland, Ore. upon retirement. Ron was very active with the OSU Extension Master Gardener program in Jackson County where he is remembered for beautiful roses and his ability to teach and mentor other gardeners. He served many roles in the program including president of the Jackson County Master Gardener Association. He was also an active member of The Ashland Garden Club.
He is survived by his wife, Marydee Bombick; sister, Karen Miller; three sons; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Alan.
