James 'Jim' LaRoy


James "Jim" LaRoy Huddleston, 30, passed away Dec. 12, 2014 while visiting Newtonville, Ind. He was born Oct. 28, 1984 in Medford, Ore. to Shawn LaRoy & Lorita Jean (Willard) Huddleston. Jim grew up in the Rogue Valley living in both Grants Pass & Medford, Ore.

Being artistic Jim drew, painted, sculpted, made jewelry, & did tattoos. He also played the drums. His love for the outdoors was obvious if you ever had the privilege to go swimming, rafting, hiking, fishing, camping, parasailing, biking, or just walking with him. He loved traveling & in 1999 at age 14 traveled as far as Russia on a Christian medical mission to children's orphanages and hospitals.

Jim is survived by his mother & stepfather, Lorita (Willard) & Mick Cushman, of Medford, Ore.; father & stepmother, Shawn & Evangeline Huddleston; & sister, Danielle Huddleston, all of Grants Pass, Ore.; stepmother in earlier years, Sandra Williams of Klamath Falls, Ore.; grandmother, Velita Willard of Medford, Ore.; son, Damien LaRoy Huddleston; & daughter of his heart, Makiya Dexter both of Grants Pass, Ore. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, & step-siblings from Ore., Wash. & Colo. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Arthur and Betty Huddleston and William Willard; & uncle William Gerald Willard.

Memorial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday Dec. 29, 2014 at Living Waters Church in Medford, Ore. Donations at American West Bank ask for Benefit of Child of Jim Huddleston, account is under Lorita Cushman or to HopeHallforall.org in Jim's name.
