Dr. Kenneth Emerson
Dr. Kenneth Emerson "Ken" Wyatt, 86, of Covington, Ga. formerly of Jackson, Ga. passed away Saturday, December 7, 2014. He was born November 5, 1928 in Medford, Ore. to the late Ray M. and Frances Davisson Wyatt. Dr. Wyatt received his Doctorate from the University of Illinois and was the Chief of the Board of Special Education of Health, Education, and Welfare during the Johnson and Nixon administrations. He was an International Past President for the Council for Exceptional Children and a retired Professor from Georgia State University.
Dr. Wyatt was preceded in death by his brother, Richard D. Wyatt. He is survived by his wife, Helen Wyatt, of Covington; children, Glenn Wyatt, of Jackson, Greg Wyatt of Blogett, Ore., and Bruce and Letecia Wyatt of Albany, Ga. Dr. Wyatt is also survived by two grandchildren, Alaina and Clay Wyatt and his brother and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Earlene Wyatt of Central Point, Ore. and Bee Wyatt of Medford, Ore.
Memorial services for Dr. Wyatt will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, with Reverend Clay Wyatt officiating. J.C.
