Robert Lawrence Mullin, AKA "Moon" passed away December 20, 2014 at his home in Medford, Ore. He was born November 2, 1920 in Gold Hill, Ore. to Arthur Lawrence Mullin and Edna Annabelle (Sutton) Mullin.
Moon married Irene Stedman August 2, 1943 in Florida. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was the owner of O.K. Rubber Welders and a sales representative for Ashland Oil.
Moon was a member of the Ashland JayCees, and Past Exalted Ruler of the Ashland Elks Club, including service as a state officer. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, sports, and entertaining. Moon and Irene hosted legendary BBQ's on their deck.
Moon is survived by his sisters, June Metzger, Betty (Fred) Stammen, and Donna (Mick) Salamone; brother, Donald (Gayle) Mullin; daughter, Melody (Fred) Hasselback; grandchildren, Rachel (Nick) Kurncz, Jacob Hasselback, Leah (Nelson) Hasselback-Frank, and Carrie Hasselback; great-grandchildren, Nick Kurncz, Hannah Kurncz, and Rainha Hasselback-Frank; and a plethora of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene; both parents; and sisters, Roberta and Janet.
A memorial service will be held in the summer. Many thanks to the family, friends, caregivers, and Asante Hospice who helped make the end of Moon's life as wonderful as the rest of it.
